There is a very close relation in between correlation and causation. Most of the times these two terms are interchangeable and misunderstood. Correlation can be considered as a perfect statistical technique that can show the strength of the pair of the variables that can be changed and related together. On the other hand, it can be stated that causation suggests a step ahead of correlation (Walters, 2015). The cause and effect factor are really significant. In most of the cases, it has been observed that correlation happens only because of the coincidences. Therefore, it cannot be stated that correlation is similar like causation.
